Privacy Notice

WhinPadel operates in Mexico and this notice is governed by Mexican data protection law. The Spanish version is the binding one; this translation is provided for convenience.

WhinPadel is the trading name of Antonio Rodríguez de Tembleque Fuentes, a sole trader registered in Mexico, with address at Joaquín Meade 143, Colonia Universitaria, C.P. 78290, San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., México, responsible for processing your personal data and for protecting it under Mexican data protection law.

For anything about your personal data —including access, rectification, cancellation and objection requests— write to contacto@whinpadel.com. That is the designated channel and the one where you can prove your identity. For everything else we also answer on WhatsApp at +52 444 843 8284.

Only what running padel tournaments and a ranking requires:

• Identity and contact: name, phone, email, city and state, date of birth or age, and sex — the latter because it determines the category you play in.
• Playing data: club, category, dominant hand, court position, results, ranking points and tournament history.
• Payment data: payment method, reference number, amount and whether it is paid. We never receive or store card numbers or banking credentials.
• What you upload: profile photo and bio, if you choose to add them.

We do not ask for or store health, ethnic origin, beliefs, union membership, political opinions or sexual preference data.

Padel is played in pairs, and when registering for a tournament a player or a club can sign up their partner by giving their name and phone number. If you got here through an invitation, that is what happened.

At that moment we tell you: your invitation page shows who signed you up, for which tournament and category, puts this notice in front of you, and lets you ask to be removed from public listings before you accept anything.

These purposes are necessary — without them you cannot be registered:

• Registering you and managing your participation in tournaments.
• Building draws, groups, schedules and results.
• Calculating and publishing the ranking.
• Telling you what affects your tournament — schedules, changes, payments.
• Handling your entry fee and issuing your reference number.
• Giving the organising club the data it needs to run its tournament and charge you.

These are not necessary, and opting out does not affect your participation:

• Telling you about other tournaments, leagues and platform news.
• Aggregated, anonymous statistics for clubs and sponsors — these cannot identify you.

You can opt out from the start: you have five business days from being shown this notice to say so, and you can also do it later, whenever you want. Write to contacto@whinpadel.com saying you do not want the non-necessary purposes.

News about other tournaments can also be switched off from your account, without writing to anyone. Opting out does not affect any of your entries or your ranking position.

Your name, city, club, category, results and ranking position are public: anyone visiting the site can see them and they may appear in search engines. That is what makes a ranking useful.

Your phone, email, date of birth and payment data are not published. There is one exception, so that tournaments can run: when you have a scheduled match, the opposing pair — if registered on WhinPadel — can see your phone to agree a time change with you. Only that pair, only while the match is scheduled and unplayed, and only if you accepted this version of the notice.

You can ask to be removed from public listings from your account or from your invitation link, without writing to anyone. Draws from tournaments you already played keep the result, because removing it would alter your opponents' results too.

We do not sell your personal data. Two different things need to be told apart:

• Transfer — the club organising the tournament you enter receives your name, phone, category and payment status. It needs them to run the tournament and to charge you, and from then on it answers for that data itself. This transfer is necessary to enter: without it there is no tournament to sign up for.
• Transfer — the payment platform, when you choose to pay online. The charge belongs to the club: the money does not pass through us.
• Transfer — the opposing pair of a scheduled match of yours, registered on WhinPadel, receives your phone to agree a time change with you. Only while the match is scheduled and unplayed.
• Remittance — providers that only host or process on our behalf and on our instructions: site hosting, database, maps and public club data, and the messaging service used to notify you. They do not use your data for their own purposes, so these are not transfers.

If you do not object, we understand that you consent to the transfers described above. You can object by writing to contacto@whinpadel.com. Note that without the transfer to the club you cannot enter its tournaments, because the club is the one running them and charging for them.

We make no other transfers of your data to third parties. If that were ever needed, you would be told and asked for your consent first.

You have the right to know what data we hold and why (access), to correct it (rectification), to ask us to delete it (cancellation) and to object to a specific use (objection). You can also withdraw your consent and limit the use or disclosure of your data.

To exercise them, write to contacto@whinpadel.com. Your request must include: your name and a means of replying to you, a copy of official ID —or of the power of attorney, if you act for someone else—, a clear description of the data the right concerns, and anything that helps locate it. If you are asking for a rectification, also tell us what to correct and attach supporting evidence.

We answer within twenty business days and, where applicable, act within the following fifteen business days. Exercising your rights is free; only postage or copying costs, if any, would be yours.

Two of them need no message: from your account you can correct your data and ask to be removed from public listings, effective immediately. Any player profile page also carries a link to ask for it.

You can withdraw your consent at any time through the same address. Withdrawal is not retroactive over what has already been done, and in some cases the law or a contract requires us to keep certain data —payment records, for instance—; we will tell you if that is the case.

Cancellation cannot reach results of tournaments already played — they are the sporting record of an event other people took part in. In that case they are dissociated from your contact data.

Contact data is kept while your profile is active. Tournament results and ranking points are kept as a historical sporting record, dissociated from your contact data if you request cancellation.

Payment data is kept for as long as the organising club's tax and accounting obligations require.

We use cookies necessary for the platform to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your language and theme.

On whinpadel.com we also load Google Tag Manager and Google's measurement tools, which use their own cookies to count visits and see where people arrive from. We do not use them to show you advertising. You can block them from your browser settings; the platform still works.

There are junior and children's categories, from age 10. If the player is a minor, the registration is made and this notice accepted by their parent or legal guardian, who consents to the processing of their data.

The same data is published for a minor as for any player, and their parent or guardian can ask at any time that they not appear, through the means in section 11.

The current version is always published at https://www.whinpadel.com/privacidad, dated at the top. If a change affects what we use your data for or who we share it with, we tell you through the same channel we use for your tournament before applying it.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may turn to the Mexican federal data protection authority. Since the 2025 reform that role belongs to the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, which took over the powers of the former INAI.

The rights-protection procedure is started within fifteen business days of our reply, or of the deadline for giving it running out.
